As My Blog Comes To An End....For Now..

Well this being my last post for my assignment here at Weber State University, it is quite possible that I may not be blogging again for some time, although on the flip side I still plan to keep my account active so that i may still write about the sport I love if such a feeling arises. As I sign off I would like to leave with the note that MMA is quite the sport. It is the fastest growing sport today, and quite possibly one of the most exciting and entertaining sports out there. MMA is not about two fighters rolling up in a cage trying to knock eachothers lights out, its about much more then that. MMA is about self-determination, commitment, training, the strive to be the best. Its about two fighters who train thier own specific style who attempt to prove that they have trained harder then their opponent this time around. The funny thing about a fight is that anything can happen, the underdog can always triumph, its a sport about heart.

If there is one thing I hoped to accomplish by keeping this blog, it is to inform fans about what is going on in the sport, as well as get future fans of the sport to get their feet wet and understand a bit about what MMA is about and how exciting the sport can be. MMA will teach people who train things that nothing else in life can. For the fans, it keeps them entertained, and always promises something new every time. MMA is the best sport out there today in my opinion, and I am thankful that i get to train in various aspects various times a week.

I hope that you may of enjoyed my blog, and I hopefully I may see you in or around the cage or ring some day!

Quite Possibly The Two Most Compelling TUF Coaches Battle It Out Dec. 11th

This season of The Ultimate Fighter aka TUF, is coming to an end, hence preparing a title defence from Welter Weight Champion George St. Pierre. Both St. Pierre and Josh Koscheck are current rival coaches on this season of TUF. As always, the coaches agree to have a fight at the finalle of every season. The fight this season however, brings about a championship fight, as Josh Koscheck assures everyone he will strip the belt from St. Pierre.

The two have had a fight in the past, where as St. Pierre came out on top. George St. Pierre has defended his belt numerous times in the past year, and he will do so again in his hometown in Quebec Candada. Koscheck is sure to be the villan for the event, as St. Pierre will have the home advantage. The fight is scheduled to take place on December 11th and I personally am more excited for this fight then the last few that have taken place these past few months. The two fighters will surley inter the cage with their aims set on the win, and both claim to let nothing get in their way............over and over.

BJ Penn Breaks Out Of His Losing Streak........With A Bang!

Can you say knockout in 21 seconds!!!!! BJ Penn is BACK! After suffering various losses back to back, putting the hawaiian fighter in quite the losing streak, BJ Penn stepped out of the lightweight division in the UFC and took a shot at the welterweight division which is only one weightclass up. BJ Penns opponent Matt Hughes, iroically had been on a winning streak after he debut into the UFC Hall OF Fame.

The fight was quite a quick one, the two stood and circled for a while, attempting to feel one another out. It took Penn one big right hand to send the Hall of Famer off his feet and onto the canvas. BJ Penn had knocked him out cold! It looks as if BJ Penn is going to take his shot in the welterweight divison, current champion George St. Pierre may have some training to do!
