After suffering various losses back to back, putting the hawaiian fighter in quite the losing streak, BJ Penn stepped out of the lightweight division in the UFC and took a shot at the welterweight division which is only one weightclass up. BJ Penns opponent Matt Hughes, iroically had been on a winning streak after he debut into the UFC Hall OF Fame.

The fight was quite a quick one, the two stood and circled for a while, attempting to feel one another out. It took Penn one big right hand to send the Hall of Famer off his feet and onto the canvas.
